In the title page, the editor, Reb Eliezer Lipman, describes the unique and surprising essay included in the book, titled ""Commentary on the Procession of the Moon", which "explains how the moon has self-light that lights the world and does not need the light of the sun … in contrast to early philosophers and commentators who had decided that the moon has no self-light at all…"
