Important Judaica. Pair of lamps for light on Shabbat, seems to be the work of the artist Avraham bar Adon. Moulded brass, engraved, bent, and sawn. Rectangular base, upon which sits a camel, with engravings on the bases “Damascus” in Hebrew and Arabic, “Ner Shel Shabbat Kodesh,” “Zion,” Esek Damesek.” The tents have fine geometric shapes, at the top is a Star of David and stamps numbered 10 and 99, respectively. Size: 52cm, width: 25cm. No electric mechanism nor wiring. Decorations plated with silver are blurred, light damage to the corners of the metal, and the welding is disconnected. Generally ok to good condition. Item was brought to auction from a private collection.
