Al HaMichya' blessing. Handcrafted in color. 1940's.
35x28 cm.
Written and punctuated in red, black and blue. The ending of the blessing was omitted.
Blue dedication : נדבת ר' אהרן שנארך לנשמת אביו ואמו שנפטרו בגלות טראנסניסטריען בשנת תש"ב... (donation of R' Ahron Shnerch [?] in memory of his father and mother who died in the exile of Transnistria in1942]. Transnistria was the name given to a strip of land in Southwestern Ukraine that was captured by the Nazi and Romanian army in 1941. Its Jewish residents were imprisoned in ghettos and sent to death camps.
Thin cardboard. Fold marks. Very fine condition.
