On the title page and inside the book, handwritten inscriptions by Rabbi Yosef Zundel of Salant. With stamps of "Midrash Menachem Zion Be'Churvat Rabbi Yehuda Ha'Chassid".

Rabbi Ya'akov Berlin, a rabbi in Furth since 1750, the disciple of Rabbi Ya'akov Poprasch of Frankfurt am Main, the son-in-law of Rabbu Yosef Steinhart of Furth, one of the most prominent rabbis of his generation. Author of "Be'er Ya'akov" and "Zichron Ya'akov".

Rabbi Yosef Zundel of Salant (1786-1865), a disciple of Rabbi Chaim of Volozhin. The founder of the Mussar Movement and the rabbi of Rabbi Yisrael of Salant. Immigrated to Jerusalem in 1738. Leader of the Prushim community. Due to his great modesty, he refused to receive an official religious position, yet served as the Gabai of the library of the "Menachem Zion" Beit Midrash at the yard of "Ha'Churva", which was a center of prayer and study of the Prushim rabbis of Jerusalem.
