In his introduction to part one the author tells about the beginning of his great work and about how he carried it out. Following the introduction is a very long article on the printing of the Talmud – where, when and how many times it was printed.
This series of books was greatly acclaimed in the world of scholarly study and research, and it remains the first port of call for anyone investigating different wordings in the Talmud.
Most of the volumes were printed in Munich. Volume 9 (Sanhedrin) was printed in Mainz.

Before us are 13 out of the 16 volumes (the last volume was published after the author's death in Parmishla, 1897) – almost a complete set.
Condition: All of the volumes are in excellent condition. Original bindings. Slight blemishes on the bindings.
