Dikdukei Sofrim - First Edition - 13 Volumes
Dikdukei Sofrim – "Including wordings and versions which are found in the manuscripts of the Talmud from the year 1343 (this is the only manuscript which contains the entire Babylonian Talmud and that the Christian censorship did not touch), which is situated in the city of Munich…with glosses called 'Divrei Sofrim' which include different wordings of the Talmud from a manuscript found in the library of the King in Paris and from the early printings of the Talmud, Mishnayot and Ein Yaakov, and comments in order to clarify the correct wording according to the words of our early sages and according to common sense". By Rabbi Rafael Natan Neta Rabinowitz.
Munich-Mainz-Parmishla. 1868-1897. First editions.
Approbations and introductions from great Rabbis.
In his introduction to part one the author tells about the beginning of his great work and about how he carried it out. Following the introduction is a very long article on the printing of the Talmud – where, when and how many times it was printed.
This series of books was greatly acclaimed in the world of scholarly study and research, and it remains the first port of call for anyone investigating different wordings in the Talmud.
Most of the volumes were printed in Munich. Volume 9 (Sanhedrin) was printed in Mainz.

The volumes were printed in the following order:
Tractate Brachot – Order of Zeraim. Beitza-Chagiga-Moed Katan. Megillah-Shekalim. Eiruvin. Shabbat. Rosh Hashana-Yoma. Sanhedrin. Avodah Zara-Makkot-Shavuot-Horayot-Eduyot. Zevachim. Menachot. Pesachim. Baba Kama. Baba Batra.
Before us are 13 out of the 16 volumes (the last volume was published after the author's death in Parmishla, 1897) – almost a complete set.
Condition: All of the volumes are in excellent condition. Original bindings. Slight blemishes on the bindings.
