The Ball of Eliezer Ben Yehuda - Large Poster - 1933
By the Project Committee in memory ofEliezer Ben Yehuda. Published by "Dfus Azriel", Jerusalem.
The poster invites the public to an artistic-intellectual conference honoring the memory of Eliezer Ben Yehuda and his role as the reviver of the Hebrew language.
Among those sponsoring the ball: his wife Chemda Ben Yehuda, Henrietta Szold, Yitzchak Ben Zvi and many more of the leaders of the Yishuv.
According to the program detailed in the poster, honorable people will speak during the "ball", such as Ussishkin and Prof. Klausner. In addition, a film named "The Life of Ben Yehuda" will be shown. The evening will end with an artistic show that includes an opera singer, dancing and music.
At the center of the poster, a picture of ben Yehuda's statue is printed and under it, the inscription "The Reviver of our language 0 eliezer Ben Yehuda".
At the lower part of the poster, a saying by Ben Yehuda: "The Land of Israel will be Hebrew or will not be at all!"
