A. Ha'Kotel Ha'Ma'arvi. Vienna, 1929. Includes a long interesting poem on the sanctity of the Western Wall and its virtues and an interesting introduction by the author. The booklet was printed following the "Western Wall Affair" of Yom Kippur 1929 and was published several weeks before the 1929 Palestine Riots. "This Wall is a symbol to our nation that it will always live … woe to anyone who dares approach it in order to take it from the hands of Israel!", writes the author in his introduction. Gottfried's pen name is printed on the cover: "Ha'Cholem Be'Hakitz" (the Daydreamer).

Mordechai Gottfried (1884-1963) was an especially fertile writer. At a young age he started publishing his articles and poems in newspapers in Galicia. For many years he lived in Vienna. In 1936 he immigrated to Israel and lived in Tel Aviv. Published many booklets on poets, authors and philosophers and on Jewish issues.
A total of 7 booklets, each one of 16 pp.
