Collection of Letters by Rabbis Abroad
An archive of important letters from Rabbis of the Diaspora. All of the letters are handwritten on postcards. Amongst them:
a. A letter with Torah thoughts from Rabbi Yitzchak Bigon, the Rabbi of Zeidik, author of the book "Sadeh Yitzchak". Murdered in the Holocaust in 1943.
b. A letter from Rabbi Yitzchak Aryeh Bilitzky, Av Beit Din of Malyat.
c. A letter from Nachum Bezalel Dzimitrovsky, Av Beit Din of Yanishki, suburb of Kovno.
d. Three letters with Divrei Torah (on postcards) in the handwriting of Rabbi Naftali Ha'Cohen Schwartz of Satmar, a venerable Talmid Chacham, most likely, the grandson of Rabbi Naftali Ha'Cohen Schwartz Av Beit Din of Mád, author of "Beit Naftali". Many of his halachic reponses were published in several books of his period. He proofread the book "Tmimei Derech" by Rabbi Pinchas Zelig Ha'Cohen Schwartz, the son of the "Beit Naftali". He was murdered during the Holocaust. In one of the letters before us, he writes to Rabbi Milevsky that "due to the troubles of our times most letters are lost".
All together ten letters.
Condition: Good.
