A Mussar Letter in the Handwriting and with the Signature of Rabbi Yisrael Dov Odesser – Most Rare
A Mussar letter about the service of G-d and the topic of correcting sins from the teachings of Rabbi Nachman of Breslov, written entirely in the handwriting of and with the signature of "Sabba Yisrael' – the righteous man Rabbi Yisrael Dov Odeser.
At the beginning of the letter he writes humbly: "I mention here what I previously wrote in my previous letter that he should not look at all at my very low level, as I do not write anything from myself, only copy letter by letter from the words of the true leader, the overflowing river etc.".
At the end of the letter is his signature: "The writer the copier Yisrael Dov Odesser; the house of Zalman Odesser, Tiberius".
Rabbi Yisrael Dov Odesser (1886-1995), author of the "Petek", known also as "Sabba Yisrael", considered to be one of the elders of the Breslov Chassidut and a holy man. Many miraculous stories are told about him and collected in the book "Chayei Yisrael Sabba".
