Three pages, essays on different topics, in the handwriting of the Posek of the generation, Rabbi Yosef Shalom Elyashiv. On two of the essays Rabbi Elyashiv wrote the date and the time that he delivered them publicly.

a.    On what is said in the Days of Awe "as the shepherd moves his sheep under his rod". At the end of the manuscript the Rabbi added: "After Kol Nidrei 1947".

8x15.5 cm. Written on both sides in cramped handwriting, small and legible.

b.    An essay on the Parsha of Bamidbar, regarding the saying of our Sages that the Torah was given in fire, in water and in the desert.

21x16.5 cm. One side written in cramped handwriting, the second side with the Rabbi's printed logo, and the addition of a few lines.

c.    At the top of one side the Rabbi wrote the title: "I spoke on Rosh Hashana before the blowing of the Shofar in 1954". The essay itself was written in very interesting literary language. "Yesterday in the evening, at the time when the sun gathered its lasts sparks, then the year 5713 parted and departed, you have surely already prepared a new calendar, a calendar for 5714, what did you do with the old calendar gentlemen, how is it treated? There are two calendars, a wall calendar and a pocket calendar, a wall calendar, every day a page is ripped off, until at the end of the year nothing remains from it, a pocket calendar, even though throughout the year it is carried in the pocket…". On the second side of the same page, the Rabbi wrote an explanation to what is said "crawling and shaking from the days of your coming". The Rabbi also wrote an explanation about what is said about Saul at the time when Samuel anointed him as King "And unscrupulous people said 'How will this one save us?' and they despised him…".

15x19 cm. Written on both sides in cramped handwriting.

Condition: Very Good. Nearly 6 pages written in his handwriting.
