Sefer Zechira V'Inyanei Segulot - Wilhemsdorf, 1729 - Signature of Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Musafi and Handwritten Inscriptions
The author: Rabbi Zecharya from Plungian. Second edition with additions from the editor Rabbi Zvi Hirsch son of Rabbi Chaim of Furth. Rabbi Zvi Hirsch's additions were not printed in the subsequent editions; they were printed in his book "Likutei Zvi". An especially rare edition.
In some of the copies, including the one before us, the approbation which was printed in the first edition in 1709 was not printed.
On page [4]: "an awesome prayer for the wellbeing of the monarch" - a long prayer of two pages: "…He who answered Avraham Yitzchak and Yaakov…He will bless…our master the Kaiser or the King or the Duke or the Graf…".
On the book's title page is a signature: "belongs to the young one ACHI"M S'T" - Rabbi Chaim Yitzchak Musafi (1760-1837), Av Beit Din of Spoleto for 60 years. He wrote many books, amongst them the responsa "Chaim V'Chesed". He was a student of Rabbi David Pardo, author of "Shosanim L'David" and "Chasdei David". At the beginning of the book is an additional signature in Sephardic handwriting.
On the back of the book are various handwritten inscriptions, amongst them sayings of our sages, proverbs and segulot (for memory and more). It is almost certain that at least some of them are in Rabbi Musafi's handwriting.
[4], 5-72 pages.
