Sefer Tzeror Ha'Chaim by Rabbi Shmuel Klein, Av Beit Din of Khust and Salisch, Munkatsch, 1876. First edition. The book contains six chapters on various Sugiyot of the Talmud and Novellae on several tractates.

Rabbi Shmuel Klein (1805-1875) was one of greatest rabbis of Hungary, a descendent of Ha'Shala Ha'Kadosh. He was a disciple of the Chatam Sofer.

On the titl epgae, the stamp of "Efrayim Freidman" in Hebrew and a foreign language. This is most likely Rabbi Efrayimg Freidman of Târgu Mureş, the author of the books "Hadrat Kodesh", "Avodat Shir" and more.

Bound with Maharam Schick Responsa, Lemberg, 1884. First edition.

The Mahram Schick (1807-1879), one of the greatest rabbis of Hungary, a beloved disciple of the Chatam Sofer. Was a rabbi of several communities in Hungary. In 1861, he moved with his yeshiva to Khust, there he died and is buried. He was well-known for his struggle against Reform Judaism.
