Ancient signatures, amongst them of Rabbi "Dov Ber Epstein". It seems that this is Rabbi Dov Ber Epstein, one of the rabbis of Jerusalem. After the death of his father, Rabbi Yechiel Michel Epstein, author of the "Aruch HaShulchan" in 1908, he was offered to succeed in the rabbinate of the city of Novardok, however he refused with the explanation that settling the Land of Israel is more beloved to him than the rabbinate. He was a communal activist in the Old Yishuv of Jerusalem, the gabbai of the Etz Chaim Yeshiva and the Diskin Orphanage, one of the founders of the Jerusalem branch of Agudat Yisrael.
In the volumes is also the signature of his son, Rabbi Yosef Epstein.
Condition: Good. Wear. Age stains. Original pretty covers, some of them peeling.
