[8], 81 [1] leaves. 19.5 cm.This book was published to protest the reformers who wanted to change the order of prayer and synagogue customs. Nine sections, with a partial title page for each one. The author attacks reforms made regarding musical instruments, mixed seating, the recitation of prayers and blessings with uncovered heads, text changes, and the change from Ashkenazic to Sephardic pronunciation and vice versa.The author was rabbi of Mezeritsch and Emden and he passed away in 1839. In this work, he attacks the books of Eliezer Lieberman, Nogah HaTzedek, Kinat Ha'emet and Ohr Nogah that were printed in Dessau and supported the reforms.
Simple binding. Light stains to the title page. The endpapers were bound backward. Very fine condition.
