A. Sefer Chanukat Ha'Torah by Rabbi Heshel of Krakow, the rabbi of Rabbi Shabtai Cohen and Rabbi David Ha'Levi Segal (the author of "Turei Zahav"). Piotrkow, 1899.
Rabbi Heshel (1595-1663) was the first to be called by the Jews of Ashkenaz "The Rabbi", with no additional title, being the rabbi of all the greatest rabbis of the time. He himself never printed a book and dedicated his life to teaching Torah to the greatest rabbis of Ashkenaz. More than two hundred years after his death, Rabbi Chanoch Henich of Zgierz collected from the books of Rabbi Heshel's students Divrei Torah in his name on the Parashot of the Torah. First edition.
At the beginning of the book, dedication by Rabbi Avraham Moshe Babad (1955). Rabbi Babad (1900-1980) Av Beit Din of Gura Humorului (Bukovina) an outstanding Torah genius.

Condition: No back cover. Slightly falling apart.

At the end of this copy, the is a special handwritten inscription: "this book belongs to … Yitzchak Isaac Rosenbaum Av Beit Din of Zutchka … residing here in Prague on his way to America". The book belonged to the Rebbe of Zutchka (1906-2000) when he was on his way to the USA after the Holocaust.
Condition: Good. The title page is detached.
