Magnificent Silver Goblet. Engraving and Niello Work, Russia, 1845.
9 cm. tall; 8 cm. diameter. Hallmarked silver, 0.142 kgs. Maker's mark "AK" in Cyrillic letterse, official mark "Assayer AK 1845" = Moscow hallmark, additional mark on the upper rim. Engraving and niello work with floral motifs. Picture at center, possibly an illustration of the Bronze Horseman Statue of Peter the Great in St. Petersburg and a monumental building. Fine condition.
