Concordance of all the Biblical verses mentioned in the Midrash Rabbah. In two sections, the first on the Midrash on the Chumash and the second on the Midrash of the 5 Megilos.
R. Menashe Ben Yisroel (1604 –1657), was descended from Portuguese Jews who fled to Holland to escape the Inquisition. Renowned as a great Kabbalist, author, diplomat, printer and publisher, he founded a Hebrew press in Amsterdam where he published numerous important seforim. His diplomatic ties with Oliver Cromwell, led to the readmission of Jews to England in 1656.
Includes an introduction by R. Menashe Ben Yisrael.
Vinograd Amsterdam 19. Menashe Ben Yisroel press. [2], 53, 25 pages. 18 cm. Overall good condition. Some worming, mainly on the margins, with repairs affecting some text. Slight damage to the last few pages, not affecting text. Modern half-leather binding.
