R. Mordechai ben Hillel HaKohen (c. 1240 -1298), was the outstanding disciple of R. Meir (MaHaRaM) M’Ruttenburg. His compendium, arranged according to the Tractates of the Talmud, is a rich repository of the Halachic traditions of Ashkenaz.
