The author of Arugat HaBosem was one of the greatest rabbis and halachic desicors of Hungary. His teaching spread from his home city of Hust throughout the country and many of the graduates of his yeshiva became rabbis and educators throughout Hungary. He was the founder of the Pupa dynasty.
