Mameluke Hilted Saber w/Mother of Pearl Grip
Thoroughly triple acid etched blade with military motifs including flags, flora, coat of arms and trumpets throughout, heavily curved single edged blade. Crosspiece that is similar in style to the Turkish shamshir, heavily incised with leaf and floral detail throughout. Gilt brass mounts and exquisitely detailed scabbard. Size of blade 37 1/2" overall blade 31" L
Condition: Scabbard is loose, blade is patinated as shown, small old loss to mother of pearl grip.
