Scottish Highland Silver 'Cross Hilt' Broadsword w/Scabbard
Excellent condition Scottish Highland officer's WWI broadsword in eather scabbard, circa 19th century. Fine sword with a double edged etched blade, proved to one side with a gilt circular mark reads "PROVED, A" inside an etched 6-point star. The reverse to the ricasso etched with the inscription of Anderson & Sons. Cross form crossguard and pommel with silver finish. Size: 40 1/2" L, blade 32 3/4" L. Grip in ray skin well preserved with twisted wire wrapping. See "Robinson's Swords of the British Army" page 184-etc.

Condition: Very good condition overall with light pitting to the top of the blade.
