The "Robert Burns" Scale Model
An Extraordinary Scale Model of the Fowler Traction Engine Lincolnshire, England - 1910's 41" Long x 35" Tall X 19" Deep Extremely Well Preserved. This wonderful object is definitely one of the most extraordinary scale models any collector has ever seen. Traction engines, which were also widely referred to as road locomotives, were often used to transport carousels and other fairground rides from one location to another. Despite their huge weight and bulk, these massive marvels could be dismantled and reassembled in a remarkably short period of time. The present model is an exact replica of George Green's road locomotive as built by Wm. Fowler's Road & Farm Machinery Company. Accompanying this lot is a one page document bearing two period photographs of this traction engine in full scale. The detail on this model is simply beyond compare. Purchaser must either pick up in person or arrange for shipping.
