Folk Art Giant Indian Head
Carved and Painted American - Circa Early 1930's 28" Tall x 12" Wide x 13" Deep Very Good Paint Condition Some damage to feathers. At one time, this head was part of a much larger sculpture that included the entire body. It functioned like an advertising trade sign that stood as a sentinel in front of a trading goods store in the Midwest. According to the consignor, when it was fully assembled, it stood slightly more than 10 feet tall. Apparently, the remains of the body, arms and legs were so badly damaged, that they were discarded some 40 years ago. Purchaser must either pick up in person or arrange for shipping.
