Sefer Kol Ben Levi, Constantinople 1727. First Edition. Personal Copy of R. Itzele Blazer.

Sefer Kol Ben Levi, Constantinople 1727, First Edition. Authored by R. Refael Halevi of Turkey, who died when he was only 22 years old. Contains Chidushim and the Rambam and parts of Shas, and was brought to print by his father R. Eliyahu Halevi.

The personal copy of R. Itzele Blazer, the foremost disciple of R. Yisroel Salanter and from the leaders of the Mussar movement. His stamp is seen on the flyleaf.

Also seen is an ownership inscription of R. Shlomo Zalman Emrich of Berlin, most probably R. Shlomo Zalman Emrich (1714-1794), who was a disciple of the Korban Nesnael and Dayan in Prague during the days of the Noda B’Yehuda. He authored many works however most remained in manuscript and were never printed. Also seen is the personal stamp of R. Moshe Chalfin, who was the Mechutan of the Kostker Rebbe. He amassed a large collection of rare and important old books, many which are still coming to the market today.

In good condition. Some leaves cut to a smaller size although they appear to be from the same copy. Bound in a modern cloth binding.
