Tur Even HaEzer with a commentary by Rabbi Yosef Karo, Maran the Shulchan Aruch. Zuan di Gara Press, with the Bomberg presses and fonts. An edition that was published in the Author's Lifetime - Venice, 1565. In the National Library, the book appears in the Rare Book Collection.
Beautiful engraved border to the first word of leaf 21a. New binding. Moth perforations and damage. Healthy paper. Taping and tears to the title page and more. Poor overall condition of some leaves. Most of the book is in fair condition.
On the title page, a Se[hardic notation: "קניתי אותו אני שמואל ן' מלך פה מדינת בבל ר"ח סיון משנת השכ"ח ליצירה... ומכרתי אותו אני שמואל היום ר"ח אלול להיקר ומעולה כה"ר... (scribbles on the nuyer's name)".
On leaf 2a: "מקנת כספי בימי חרפי הצעיר אברהם אליה בן זלה"ה". "מקנת כספי בימי חרפי (סאלם) בכ"ר נסים זלה"ה". On leaf 21a: "מקנת כספי הצעיר (ישראל) רחמאן בן חסן נ"ע".
On leaf 61, a folding leaf in ancient Sephardic script, references and quotes from the Rambam: Nashim Hilchot Yibum. Fine calligraphic script.
On leaf 164a: "הצעיר דויד מושה חזן", partly intermittent. On the back flyleaf: "הצעיר דויד בן חכם (intermittemt) מושה חזן".
