These natural material buttons are called Billikens. A Billiken is a "mythical good luck figure who represents things as they ought to be" according to Wikipedia. The Billiken was invented or created by Florence Pretz of Kansas City Missouri, the home of where this Billiken came from, out of Nikki Deals collection.
Issued: DIVISION 1=PRE 1918 AND DIVISION 3 IS AFTER 1918
