500 years! Yalkut Shimoni. Part One on the Torah, first printing, Salonika, 1526 - 1527 Moshe Shontsino printing house. Handwritten signatures, notes and glosses throughout the book. About a third of the book's pages are embossed with spectacular watermarks in the shape of an ox, scales, palm, and more. The title page is missing, beginning with page 2. Ends at the beginning of Parashat Ha'Azino. The last twenty pages of Parashit Ha'Azino, parashat v'ezot habracha and the 'kuntres ah'aron' missing . General condition relative to the age of the book and similar volumes sold in the past. The book is in exceptional condition, with no signs of moths, no signs of dampness or fungi, old binding.
