Sefer Karnei Ramim, handwritten by its author Rabbi Shaul Ha'Cohen, Rosh Av beit Din of Djerba.
The content of the book is a wonderful commentary on the commentaries of Rashi and the Re'em on the Torah. The author explains their words including novellae by the Rashbam, the Midrashim of the Sages and the Zohar which requires commentary.
Autograph! The manuscript contains his novellae on Bereshit-Shemot with his preface, signature and the date of writing the manuscript. It also contains a poem whose verses bear the author's name.
The manuscript was edited by Rabbi Nissim Ha'Cohen (a descendant of the author) and was published by "Machon Ha'Rav Matzliach" beside the Kiseh Rachamaim Yeshiva. Comments were added by Rabbi Meir Mazuz.
The author was Rosh Av Beit Din of Djerba for approximately thirty years. He died in 1848, leaving a branched family of rabbis and Torah scholars. He authored many books, the first of them, "Bonah Le'Itim", when he was only nineteen years old.
58 leaves written on both their sides, two columns per page. on many pages, additions between the columns, between the lines and on the margins of the leaves. Often, the additions are written vertically.
Height of leaves: 32 cm.
Condition: Varying between the leaves. Good-Fair. Wear. Stains. Blurry ink. Damaged margins.
