Ha'Melitz - Hebrew Study Book with Illustrations - Amsterdam, 1931
"A book to teach the Jewish children the Hebrew language and its grammar…" by Mordechai Klerkaper, the principal of the "Talmud Torah" school in Amsterdam.
The book is written in square, vowelized script (photocopy). On each page, impressive illustrations by Yehuda Pinkhof.
Colorful cover. An additional Dutch title page.
Before us is the second part ("for the second year of study") of the first edition that was printed in Amsterdam in 1932. This edition, which included three parts, is extremely rare! The part before us cannot be found in libraries in Israel. Only the third part is listed in the Bibliography of the Hebrew Book, which states that the first and second parts have not been seen!
