COHAN GEORGE M.: (1878-1942) American entertainer, considered the father of American musical comedy and the subject of the Oscar-winning biographical film Yankee Doodle Dandy (1942). A.L.S., George M. Cohan, one page, 4to, New York City, 3rd October 1925, to Julius [Witmark].
