A GILT FRENCH BRONZE MANTEL CLOCK SIGNED LEROY HGER DU ROI
An Empire style French gilt and patinated bronze mantel clock featuring the dial signed LeRoy Hger du Roi, ca. 1810, silk suspension. The clock design is based on the Oath of the Horatii originally laken from a large painting by the French artist Jacques-Louis David painted in 1784 and now on display in the Louvre, Paris. Provenance: Sotheby's NY, 18 November 2011 sale.
