A FRENCH ENAMELED BRONZE LOCKBOX WITH KEY, SIGNED MAISON GELLER, 19TH CEN.
A gilt-bronze lockbox with striking blue enamel panels which have been decorated with scenes of music and agriculture, with the top panel showing a reclined putto holding a plant as a scepter. In addition, each gilt panel has been decorated with many gilt stars. The interior of the box is lined with red satin fabric. In between the latch holes of the box is inscribed 'Maison Geller', presumably the manufacturer.

Dimensions: Height: 3 5/8 in., (9.2 cm.); Length: 3 11/16 in., (9.4 cm.); Width: 4 15/16 in., (12.5 cm.)
Condition: Good overall with some oxidation in places. Some fading to internal lining consistent with age. Two sides plus the floor of the internal lining are missing.
