Six porcelain dinner plates from the service of Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich Romanov. Imperial Porcelain Factory. Marked on the verso with a green Alexander II monogram surrounded by a crown. Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaevich the Elder (1831-1891) - the third son of Nicholas I and Alexandra Feodorovna, uncle of Alexander III, General - Field Marshal (April 16, 1878). The first owner of the Nikolaevsky Palace in St. Petersburg. The last in history knight of the Order of St. George 1st class.

Condition: The overall condition is very good. The plates have not cracks or chips. Very minor signs of wear.
