A EARLY FRENCH DARTE FRERES PORCELAIN PLATE WITH SHEPHERDESS
French hand-painted porcelain plate decorated with a gilded rim with a genre scene depicting a shepherdess making a flower wreath, after the painting by Angelika Kauffmann (1741–1807).
Marked on the verso in dark-red letters "D.F." and old inventory label "105".
France, the first half of the 19th century.
D: 9 1/4 in., (23.5 cm.)
Condition: Very good, no chips or cracks. The original gilding has faded at the rim.
