Rare Letter Signed by All Sons of the Holy Rabbi Yisrael Chortkover

"...The blessings of our father… the Admor… should be fulfilled in him speedily as his heart and his friend's heart desires."

Letter signed by the illustrious sons of the holy Rabbi Yisrael of Chortkov.
Rabbi Chaim Aharon, Rabbi Nachum Mordechai and Rabbi Dov Ber were raised in the courtyard of their prestigious grandfather, Rabbi David Moshe of Chortkov, under their father's guidance and upbringing.

Rabbi Chaim Aharon (1873 - 1925) was the oldest son of Rabbi Yisrael. He spent his life immersed in holiness and purity and was exceptionally devoted to his father. He performed various communal acts upon his father's directive, particularly acts of charity. Frail by nature, he passed away young during his father’s lifetime, and was mourned sorrowfully by his father.
Signatures from Rabbi Chaim Aharon are exceedingly rare.

Rabbi Nachum Mordechai (1874 - 1946) was the third Admor of the Chortkov dynasty. His grandfather Rabbi David Moshe would refer to him as " my holy nephew." He was close to his father both as a son and loyal follower, and emulated his holy behaviors.

Rabbi Dov Ber (1882 - 1936) was referred to by all as "Rav Berrenyu." He was his father's confidant and the mainstay of the Chortkov courtyard, serving as his right hand. He married the only daughter of the Pachad Yitzchak of Boyan becoming like a son to him. Following the death of his father, he succeeded his position as Admor along with his brother Rabbi Nachum Mordechai. However, he passed away just a few short years later and was buried near his father.
