Terumas Hadeshen’s Commentary on Rashi. First Edition. Venice, 1519
“Commentary established by Hagaon Moreinu Harav Yisrael zt”l on Rashi’s commentary”
Explanations on Rashi’s commentary on the Chamishah Chumshei Torah by Rabbi Yisrael Isserlin, author of Terumas Hadeshen.
The Terumas Hadeshen’s commentary on Rashi is the singular composition on Rashi authored in the era of the Rishonim! While the majority of this commentary seeks to elaborate and clarify Rashi’s commentary on the Chumash, the Terumas Hadeshen also includes his own explanations and elucidations of various pesukim that do not reference Rashi’s words.
Rabbi Yisrael Isserlin

He corresponded in Torah and halachah with the Maharil, Mahari Weil, and Maharam Mintz, all of whom praised his works effusively. His own sefer Terumas Hadeshen also appears in the present Catalog.
