1917 John Taylor Arms (American, 1887-1953) signed original etching titled "The Oldest Settler" made in Bayeux, France. John Taylor Arms was born in Washington, DC. He studiedarchitecture at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Boston, graduating in 1912. After World War I, he devoted himself full-time to etching, the printing process that relies on acid to "bite" out an imagedrawn on a metal plate. Size: 9.5 X 15.5", 24.5 X 17.5" Frame Condition: Wear commensurate with age.
