HANS GOLLNICK
(1892-1970) General of the infantry, commanding general the XXVIII. army corps, recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves. Signed typed document, from the battle commander of the fortress Memel, dated 16. November 1944, no place, permitting 'Technical inspector Karl Goerler of Panzer-Regiment 25 to travel to Schirrau (East Prussia). Reason: The return to the 7th Panzer Division after completing his official mission with the regiment. The document also serves as a permit to leave the Fortress Memel. Enclosure to the special pass.' Signed Commanding General and General of the Infantry Gollnick. Signed in blue ink. Splits at fold, 5.75 x 8 inches. minor loss at edges.
