VERY RARE WORK, attributed by Inocêncio to Fr. Francisco de S. Luís, Cardinal Saraiva, one of the most important figures of Portuguese culture in the first half of the s. XIX. Dated December 15, 1820, it analyzes the Portuguese situation since the departure of the Royal Family to Brazil in 1807, seeking to demonstrate the decadence of our country since that event and the excessive spending that opened the door to corruption. With references to Liberal movements against Absolutists and desires for a Constitution. Important for the history of that period by one of its most important figures.
