A LARGE TRANSLUCENT GLASS DISH
Late Roman-Byzantine Period, ca. 4th-5th century CE. 33.7 cm in diameter. In very good condition and very rare intact in such a large size. For parallels see: David Whitehouse, Roman Glass in the Corning Museum of Glass, Vol. I, 1997, p. 226, nos. 77-8. Ex Benjamin Sofer collection, Avihyil.
