WWII Omaha Beach USS President Warfield Ship Flag & Uniform Group Later SS Exodus Israel
Original uniform, flag, and ensign lot from a US Sailor who was stationed aboard the USS President Warfield. This ship served off the coast of Omaha Beach in July 1944 following the D-Day Invasion, and was later renamed the SS Exodus and used to transport Jewish Refugees out of Europe. The uniform is named to the sailor, Robert Allen Kreib, who served aboard the USS President Warfield (IX-169) from July 1945 to September 1945. Flags show tattering from sea use.
