Illuminated and calligraphed manuscript on parchment. Document consisting of 34 sheets of parchment, the first being blank and the following foliated on the front, from 1 to 33. Folios 1 to 4, with blank versos, include: 1 - Architectural frontispiece with the following title: Epitome da Nobilissima ascendencia de Manoel Cardoso de Loureiro Capitão Mor de Viseu, cauº da ord. d’Xpº e senhor dos Morg [ado]ºs d[e] Vª meãa, Tondelinha, Patameira, e dos quintos dos Lugares de Ferro centi, & Povoa de Modrinhoza & Pouves. On the lower cartouche: A MCDXIII (?); 2 - Armas of Manoel Cardoso de Loureyro & Figgueyred[o] de Lacerda; 3 - Family tree of the holder; 4 - Armas de Moreiras do Perangal. Following are the genealogical descriptions of the following families: Moreiras, Seixas & Barros, Figueiredos Loureiros, Cardosos, Amarais, Coutos, Azevedos, Pimenteis, Abreus, Barbosas e Marinhos, all. On the front of folio 33, a closing term, dated Coimbra, Coimbra 19, 1731, José Gomes Annes Amaro de Azambuja. On the verso, four visas, two with notary signs. In addition to the first four pages, the manuscript includes: a decorated strip, bordered on f. 5; about 40 large initials illuminated in red, blue and gold (±54x43 mm) and another 40 smaller ones (3 lines); 10 large coats of arms, one at the beginning of each of the texts about the different families (except the first) . Restorations and patches on parchment, on the lower outer corner of all leaves from folio 9 to the end; frontispiece with signs of wear; slight trimming, with tangential damage to some annotations on the margin; first sheet (blank) with fungal stains. Ex-libris of António Capucho. Bound in blue velvet, probably not contemporary, with the spine remade in sheepskin; covers with silver application with rocaille motifs: four corners, an image of the Virgin (top cover) and the insignia of the pilgrims of Santiago de Compostela(?); keeps both clasps intact. Green screen protective case. Provenance: José Maria Nepomuceno bookshop, lot 2188 from the auction catalogue organized in 1897 by Luís Trindade; António Capucho Library, lot 503 of auction 214 of Palácio do Correio Velho, May 2009; unmarked silver, pursuant to Decreto-Lei 120/2017, of 15 September - art. 2, no. 2, subparagraph c)
