This wood engraved map is entitled China Proper. Drawn & engraved by Joshua Archer and published for the proprietor by Grattan & Gilbert, 51 Paternoster Row, London.
The map is from Gilbert's Modern Atlas of the Earth by Robert Mudie, c1840 and shows all of the provinces outlined with original hand colouring.
Sheet Measures: 10.25in x 12.75 Engraved Area Measures 9in x 11in.
Condition: The print is in excellent condition but please inspect the image carefully as it is very accurate.
