A pair of magnificent head ornaments – gilded amulets – Morocco
A pair of head ornaments (Teklila), amulets, intended to be hung on the sides of the head, Morocco, early 20th century.
Extremely long head ornaments. Each of the ornaments is in the shape of a semicircle. The plate, with wavy edges, is decorated with silver threads and granulation in geometric patterns and with red and green glass stones. From the lower part of the plate hang seven chains of round and flat links, at the ends of which are pendants with pierced decorations: five round and three in the shape of a hamsa. In the upper part of the decoration are a pair of fish with a hamsa at the end with a hook for hanging on the headdress. Size: 26X6.5 cm, lack
