Letter from Rabbi Shlome Yisroel Klein of SELISH. 1931
A letter handwritten by Rabbi Shlome Yisroel Klein of Selesh. To the Rav of Chust, Rabbi Yosef Zvi Dushinski. In his letter Rabbi Ehrenreich requests his help in assisting an ill orphan in Switzerland. He asks him to contact his student Rabbi Yehuda Arye Brandes to help.
At the conclusiuon of his letter he refers to the deprivation of the Shochet of Chust and asks Rav Dushinski to solve the dispute.
Rabbi Shlome Yisroel Klein [1884-1944] was born in Selesh to his father Rabbi Pinchas Chaim, the son of Reb Shmelke Selisher. Learned in Unsdorf, and was son-in-law of Rabbi Nesanel Fried "Pnei Maven". Served as Rav of Selis from 1915 till his death in 1944, when he was transferred to Bergen Belsen and perished there.
