Letter from the
Rebbe of Gur, the "Lev Simcha", Rabbi Simcha Bunim Alter.
Handwritten and signed letter from the Lev SImcha –
Admor Reb Simcha Bunim Alter.
5" x 4" inches. In his letter he mentions
his brother the "Beis Yisroel".
The Lev Simcha was the son of the Imrei Emess, Rabbi Avraham Mordechai Alter. He served as Rebbe from 1977 [after the passing of his brother the Besi Yisroel], until his passing. In 1980, he instituted Yerushalmi Yomi, the daily learning of a page of the Jerusalem Talmud, similar to the renowned Daf Yomi for the Babylonian Talmud.
