ANTIQUE INDIAN KALAMKARI PAINTED TEXTILE WALL HANGING
An antique Indian Kalamkari lined cotton textile wall hanging. The textile is adorned with hand painted traditional polychrome floral, foliage, and paisley patterns. The backside is decorated with red floral, foliage, and paisley ornaments. Circa: late 19th century to early 20th century. Kalamkari or chitsazi is the Iranian art of applying designs to fabric; carried out both manually and using special printing stamps.
