Oil on canvas painting by Leo Kundas, born 1953, a Russian artist based in New York, USA. Kundas states his main creative task as a study of the relationship between light and shadow. This artwork is a fine example of this pursuit. The piece depicts a view of the Santa Maria della Salute church in Venice, Italy in evening light.
