A vintage silverplate charger by Philippakis, a Greek company which specialized in high quality museum replicas. The bas-relief piece depicts Bellerophon upon Pegasus surrounded by putti. Gilt halo. After an Elkington and Co. design. Hallmark E. Philippakis on the backside. Bellerophon is a divine Corinthian hero of Greek mythology known for capturing and taming the winged horse Pegasus.
