RUSSIAN SILVER MOSAIC LAPIS LAZULI MALACHITE BOX
A Russian Imperial 88 silver presentation military box. The box is modeled in a mosaic design featuring natural lapis lazuli and malachite pieces in blue and green shades. The box is adorned with a relief Imperial double headed eagle, silver floral garlands overlays to the sides, engraved with detailed patterns, and set with cabochon cut ruby gemstones to the center and to the top of the lid. Features a gilt wash interior. Marked with an 88 Russian Imperial silver standard hallmark, and other Russian hallmarks.
